We are currently searching for interns to work with our Marketing teams for a 12-15 week, temporary intern assignment.  Description of Job: 

  • Valent is in the process of launching a new product in the Midwest Corn Market focused on the Corn Soil-Applied Insecticide market for 2020 market year (October 2019 – September 2020) pending regulatory approvals.  The selected intern would:
  • Assist in facilitating experience trials/ and coordinate development with trials
  • Coordinate the collection of supporting information and testimonials from early experience partners and present to the Launch Team.
  • Support in the development of the training tools for use with employees and customers for the upcoming product launch.  
  • Work with a variety of internal and external representatives; establish priorities, determine timelines and manage a busy schedule.

  Assignment Dates (approximate):  May – August 2019 (may be reduced or extended based on work load).   Skills: Excellent initiative, communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills. Strong time management and organizational skills. Computer skills and experience, including Microsoft Office and web-based programs.  Knowledgeable about row crops and crop protection products.   Experience:  Understanding of basic Agronomics related to common agricultural practices, able to gain insights and prioritize findings to provide summary.  Education:  Undergraduate student or BA/BS in agricultural related science or equivalent.    Work Locations will Include:  Midwest  Other:   Will report to Corn and Soybean Marketing Manager, in coordination with Row Crop Campaign Manager.  Will travel by vehicle and air to assigned areas, often staying overnight in hotels (approximately 65% of the time.) Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle report required. May be required to work weekends and long days during peak rating period. Able to lift or move 50-75 lbs. Will work in a professional office environment and outside around chemicals in agricultural crop fields. May be exposed to extremes in temperature, humidity, or wetness. Will follow all Valent and government safety requirements.
