Shizzy’s Wildcat Rescue hosts 1st Annual Charity Basketball Game Sept. 19 – Yes! Weekly

Shizzy’s Wildcat Rescue is partnering with the Drew Effect Sports to host 1st Annual Charity Basketball fundraiser on Thurs., Sept. 19 at 6:00 p.m., at Walter Hines Page High School (201 Alma Pinnix Drive, Greensboro, NC 27405.) Celebrity Basketball players include Harlem Globetrotter’s Max “Hops” Pearce, WNBA Indiana Fever’sParis Kea, retired NBA player, P.J. Hairston, Charlotte Hornets and many more.

Event activities includes a live performance by Nora Abdelrahman, half – time free throw contest, dunk contest with mystery special guest, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and much more! Player meet and greet at 6:00 p.m. Game begins at 7:00 p.m.

Admission is $10.00, if purchased online and $15.00 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will go to Shizzy’s Wildcat Rescue perimeter fencing and to Drew Effect scholarship and mentorship programs.

Shizzy’s Wildcat Rescue (SWR), is a 501c (3) non- profit animal rescue organization founded in 2013. Located on 56 acres in Columbus County, in the town of Fair Bluff, North Carolina; the sanctuary is currently under construction and expected to be operational in 2020.

Funded solely by private donations, the sanctuary will be a home to lions, tigers, jaguars, bobcats, cougars, servals, caracals and other species, most of whom have been abandoned, abused, orphaned and saved from being turned into being fur coats or retired from performing acts.
